Born in Angola, to an Italian mother and a Portuguese father, Matteo represents a rich cultural fusion. After spending his childhood summers on Pico Island, he made it his home in 2014, driven by the desire to share its most secret corners.

Inspired by his grandfather in the Italian Alps, the mountains have always been his natural element. He graduated in Tourism to combine his passion for nature with professional knowledge and, since then, has dedicated himself to providing the best possible climbing experience. Since June 2015, he has climbed Mount Pico more than 1000 times, continuously refining his technique. Committed to offering the best experience possible, Matteo is in constant pursuit of improvement. He completed ice climbing training in Südtirol (2019) and also has training and experience in rock climbing.

His journey combines thousands of hours in mountain environments, across different contexts and latitudes, with a continuous desire to learn, evolve, and share knowledge. Between the professional experience gained as a guide, his personal involvement in international expeditions, and his technical training in recent years, he has now reached a stage of maturity where the challenge is not only to conquer summits but also to consolidate skills, share knowledge, and continue growing both as a mountaineer and as a person.

Over the years, he has faced altitude challenges in different mountain ranges:

• 2018 – Toubkal (4,100m), Morocco
• 2019 – Ice Climbing Course, Solda (Südtirol, Italy)
• 2020 – Ecuador Expedition: acclimatization peaks Cuicocha (3,246m), Fuya Fuya (4,290m), and Imbabura (4,609m); main summits Cayambe (5,790m), Cotopaxi (5,897m), and Chimborazo (6,263m)
• 2024 – Sierra de Gredos, Spain: La Galana (2,572m)
• 2024 and 2025 – Mulhacén (3,478m), Spain
• 2025 – Alps, Italy/France: Gran Paradiso (4,061m) and Mont Blanc (4,806m), via del Pappa

Mount Pico remains his main training ground for future high-altitude adventures. Because more than collecting summits, what truly fuels him is being an inspiration and a driving force for his daughters to learn and grow as individuals, through the lessons and teachings that only the mountains can offer.

That same vision led to the creation of Tripix, the company he founded and now leads as CEO. For Matteo, guiding is not just about leading people to the summit, but above all about creating transformative, safe, and authentic experiences — the very essence of the philosophy he shares every day as both a guide and the leader of his team.

Son of one of the most experienced guides of Mount Pico, Bruno started climbing the mountain at a very young age, following in his father's footsteps.

From an early age, he began gaining experience in guiding people up the mountain, until the moment came when he could turn this beloved activity into a way of life.

With his experience and knowledge, he hopes to provide a memorable and unique ascent to all those who accompany him, day after day, on Mount Pico.

Originally from Sal Island in Cape Verde, Márcio began his journey as a guide in 2008.

From an early stage, he developed a deep connection with nature, dedicating part of his path to exploring trails in arid environments, birdwatching, and engaging in conservation projects. Among these, his involvement in bird and sea turtle monitoring initiatives stands out.

Over the years, he has consistently invested in his training, with a strong focus on nature interpretation, best practices in natural areas, and sustainable tourism.

His fascination with the Azores began in 2010, growing stronger in 2016, when he and his family first envisioned building a life here. In 2022, he chose Pico Island as his home — a decision that quickly turned into a true passion.

It was also on Pico that he deepened his path in the mountains, becoming a mountain guide and expanding his experience into this new context, where he combines technical knowledge with his solid background in nature and interpretation.

Today, he is a great admirer of the resilience, creativity, and welcoming spirit of the people of Pico — values he recognizes and seeks to reflect in the way he lives and guides.

Her goal is to personalize every experience to the fullest, ensuring each guest feels unique and valued.

She has been part of the Tripix tribe since 2017 and brings contagious energy and a genuine smile to our office every day.

When it comes to answering emails, she undoubtedly has the fastest hands in the Azores, always providing prompt and efficient responses.

Born and raised on Pico Island, Gonçalo grew up with the sea at his doorstep and a deep passion for the islands he’s always called home.

From a young age, he found peace and wonder just by watching the ocean — a fascination that never left him.

Later, he chose to study Tourism, driven by a desire to help others discover what makes him feel so connected to this place.

Today, he shares the very best his island has to offer, ensuring every visitor enjoys an authentic, memorable experience — filled with the same magic that captivated him since childhood.

Born and raised in Lisbon, fate brought her back to the Azores, where her maternal roots lie. Today, she combines her passion for communication and design with a deep love for nature.

With a degree in Corporate Communication, a Master's in Communication Design, and a postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing, she brings a creative and strategic approach to the digital world.

At Tripix Azores, she is focused on strengthening the brand’s online presence, using design and visual content as bridges to connect the authenticity of the Azores with the world.

Her goal is clear: to help tell Tripix’s story in an engaging and effective way, winning over those who dream of exploring these magical islands.
